About Our Company

Quality marine engines produced in house

Our knowledgeable employees have 100+ years of combined experience in the marine and high performance engine industry, and are dedicated to providing expert guidance and support to our customers.

Our History

Now in business for over 40 years, our company began in a garage in Rhode Island expanding to produce quality new and remanufactured marine and automotive engines for several OEM’s including Chrysler and GM. Our production of quality engines led us to open a location in Florida and focus specifically on marine applications beginning in 2005. Since then, we have produced over 20,000 marine specific units satisfying our customers domestically and internationally.

Our Philosophy

At Marine Engines 4 Less, we believe that quality should always come before quantity. We specialize in marine engine and high performance builds, and our philosophy is centered on producing high-quality units that will meet and exceed our customers' expectations. We don't believe in cutting corners, and we only use the best materials available. By using high-quality internal components, we ensure that our engines are reliable, durable, and perform to the highest standards. We use the latest CNC equipment to produce our engine, which allows us to manufacture parts with incredible precision and accuracy. Our CNC equipment enables us to produce engines that are consistent in quality and performance, which is essential for our customers who demand the best. Overall, our philosophy is simple: we prioritize quality over quantity. We believe that by producing engines that are of the highest quality, we can build long-lasting relationships with our customers and ensure their satisfaction. With our small expert staff, high-quality internal components, and state-of-the-art CNC equipment, we're confident that we can deliver engines that will exceed your expectations.

What sets ME4L apart from competitors?

We produce our engines in our own manufacturing facility. This leads to many benefits for the end user, including: competitive pricing, expert customer service and technical support, quality parts and precision machining, and knowledgeable production staff. Unlike most of our competitors, we provide our engines at competitive pricing direct to you - the consumer. Instead of purchasing engines in bulk from a large engine producer and having to mark them up, we build our own engines from start to finish cutting out any middle men. This allows us to undercut the competition on in-house produced new and remanufactured units. By producing our own engines this allows us to provide you with much better customer service and technical support than the competition. We aren’t a mass engine producer, and we pride ourselves on that fact. Quality over quantity is a strong component of our mission statement.

Our Team

One of the main reasons we're able to prioritize quality is because we have a small, expert staff. Our team consists of experienced technicians who are passionate about what they do. We believe that the key to producing top-notch engines is to have a team that truly cares about the work they're doing. Each engine we build is crafted with care, attention to detail, and the highest level of expertise. From telling you exactly where in the production process your engine is to explaining how to time an engine over the telephone, our team members are here to help you in the engine replacement process. Our production team is small (about 15 people in total) which guarantees that you are getting an engine that is built with the knowledge that is required to produce a quality and trustworthy engine.

Remanufactured vs. Rebuilt

Marine Engines 4 Less provides only Remanufactured marine engines. What is the difference between a remanufactured and rebuilt engine? Rebuilt Engines: To recondition by cleaning, inspecting and replacing severely worn or broken parts. Serviceable parts are reused within the manufacturer's acceptable wear limits. Remanufactured Engines: To make as close to new as possible. Wearable parts are automatically replaced. All core material is closely inspected and checked against original equipment specifications for correct dimensional tolerances. Replacement parts are new and made in the same production process as original equipment. Testing is performed to manufacturer specifications and original production standards. Choose for yourself, but know that Marine Engines 4 Less will only provide completely remanufactured engines — or any of our other remanufactured components — and that you can drive away from your technician's shop with confidence if you have an Marine Engines 4 Less engine in your Boat.
